I have studied the craft of photography in schools and workshops, and I am comfortable with both traditional darkroom techniques as well as the digital world. I’ve been an assistant to some well-known photographers, I have some teaching experience of my own, and I continue to exhibit my work in magazines and galleries around the world.
In my personal work, I feel the urge to see things with an independent eye -to create images with conviction, with a point of view. I feel moved to make photographs that simultaneously entertain extreme contrasts of sentiment, subtle coincidences and planned compositions. When something significant moves me, I need to respond, I need to create something that visually clarifies the path between seeing with the eyes, feeling with the heart and understanding with the mind. Clarity, concentration and hard work are important in my work as a photographer as well as in all other work that I undertake.
